Discussion

How much do you live online ie/ how much time do you spend online; what types of things do you do online?
I spend around 4 hours online sometimes even more than that. I go to facebook and I chat with my friends, or I watch a movie on the computer and when i have homework that i have to do on the computer I do that either.

Do you have a personal electronic device (like a cell phone)? How could you do your school work on it?
I have a cell phone and I could do my school work on it if I have internet on my phone because I can go to any website.

Do computers give us more human connections or fewer human connections? Why?
I think computers give us more human connections because we can talk with each other anytime and we also can meet new people online.

If you had to write 3 rules for internet ethics and manners what would they be?
1. Never give your personal informations to other strangers online.
2. Think before you sign up on a website and they are asking about your personal things.
3.Don't go online and just judge and hate people because they share their ideas with others, everyone is different with different ideas.

Do you think teachers should encourage or discourage multitasking (doing many different things at the same time, such as listening to your iPod, texting, and working on an assignment)?
Well, I think they should not let them to do that because everyone is here to learn, when they have free time they can talk to their friends or listen to music or anything else, once someone is finished the work and he/she has nothing else to do maybe he/she can text or listen to music but without disturbing others who wtill work.

What do you think is better for teaching and learning: D2L (closed learning management system) or blogs or other open public social networking tools? Why?
I think D2L is really good to teach us how to make our own blogs and teach us many different things like the Microsoft Word, Excel etc..
